Our compassionate and reassuring clinical professionals can help you overcome your fear of the dentist, whether during a routine check-up or prior to a dental procedure.

Your introduction to IV Sedation

Breakdown: IV sedation induces deep relaxation in patients and reduces anxiety during a dental procedure. This conscious type of sedation is used for procedures that do not require general anaesthesia.

Benefits: little or no recollection of the procedure/relaxes patients with severe anxiety.

Process: administered with a cannula on the back of the hand or in the arm.

What is IV Sedation?

IV sedation is an intravenous and fast-acting method of sedation. It involves administering Midazolam into a vein on the back of the hand or in the arm using a small needle called a cannula.

IV sedation is a completely safe process that can:

  • Help you relax during lengthy dental procedures.
  • Eliminate feelings of anxiety and fear.
  • Help you to reframe your relationship with going to the dentist.
