What is ‘All-on-4’?

All-on-4 implants are an economical implant system for patients seeking to replace multiple teeth or a whole arch of teeth with implants. A total of 4 implants are used in each jaw, and a fixed bridge is placed over the top, resulting in a brand-new and natural-looking smile.

Getting All-on-4 implants requires the following steps:

1. Consultation/Examination
   During your consultation, we will explain everything involved during the All-on-4 implant process, answer your questions, and let you know if you may be a suitable candidate for treatment. A set of X-rays are taken; we may refer you out-of-practice for a CBCT scan if needed.
2. Implant Placement
   Your implants are placed under local anaesthetic. We can also offer sedation to help you relax during the procedure. Once placed, the healing time is approximately 3-9 months (dependent on factors such as age, general health, and jawbone health). We will supply you with a set of temporary teeth to wear, so you won’t have to be toothless at any stage during the process.
3. Smile Design
   Your dentist will take impressions of your mouth, so that your long term set of teeth can be designed and fitted once your jaw has healed.
4. Simple, Comfortable, and Stress-free Process
   Our experienced implant dentist, Dr Karim, knows how to ensure your entire treatment journey is stress-free and comfortable. Your treatment plan will be fully itemised, and we will be here to answer any questions you have at any stage throughout the process. If you are feeling nervous about implant surgery, your dentist can administer IV sedation to help you feel fully comfortable and relaxed. We will discuss this option with you and explain the effects and benefits.
