At Kirby Dental, we offer our patients with an in-practice whitening kit which can also be taken home. The aim of this form of treatment is to rid the patient’s teeth of any marks, stains or discoloration and leave them with a gleaming smile. You have probably seen some of the countless online services which offer you home-whitening kits at a far discounted rate. However, we thoroughly recommend that our patients only carry out home-whitening if their kits have been sourced from a reliable means such as through a dentist. The reason for this is because a large amount of these online kits include a dangerous amount of hydrogen-peroxide, as well as other potentially unsafe chemicals and can have a lasting, damaging impact on the oral health of those who use them. The kits which we provide here at Kirby Dental however are perfectly safe and reputable.

How do they work?

If you feel that your smile could benefit from the power of professional whitening, then the first step would be to speak to one of our cosmetic dentistry specialists. Then they would create for you a mould of your tooth structure, from which a unique retainer would be created. You would then be given this retainer to take home, along with an amount of a perfectly safe, hydrogen-peroxide based bleaching gel. The patient would then apply an amount of this gel to the interior of the retainer and wear it. Over the following 14-28 days, the patient would then watch as their smile becomes visible brighter and whiter until they have a gleaming set of teeth.

Highly recommended.I have been visiting Kirby Dental for about three years, and Dr Farah is very skilled and has good attention to detail and always explains clearly what she is doing and what needs to be done with all options and costs explained clearly.I have also had treatment with Dr Keiron, who is also highly skilled and professional.I have never felt anxious about visiting Kirkby dental and have always been greeted with a warm welcome.All in all, this is the best dental practice I have ever visited and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist who are experts at what they do.

Highly recommended. Always get a friendly and professional service here starting with Louise on reception, then the nursing team, Esti the hygienist and finally Keiron now our family dentist. He always takes time to listen to concerns, offer choices and doesn’t push unnecessary treatments. Has a good rapport with the teenagers too!

I had a range of dental work done by Saara at Kirby Dental practice. This included root canal, crowns and fillings. Saara has been a brilliant dentist and the results have been excellent. I have been putting off a fairly routine appt with this dentist for a couple of years now. The lovely, kind Louise or the lovely Yamala makes me an appt. I then usually cancel with some excuse…. Although the last time was genuine… today I managed to pluck up the courage to attend my appt. Being a child of the 60’s and 70’s… my experiences with dentists at that time has left me with a massive phobia! Sara and Anna are amazing. They could see I was very, very nervous and put me at ease. The dental work was done quickly and painlessly. They explained everything. I also had a hygienist appt. Esti, again, is amazing. Everyone was so kind and patient with me. I will be staying with themforever !!!! Thank you to all the lovely ladies who work there. Xx

I honestly cannot recommend Kieran and the team at Kirby Dental highly enough. I had some extensive cosmetic dental work done by Kieran and I am over the moon with the results. Kieran is highly professional and knowledgeable whilst also being extremely calm and considerate at all times. It was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in a dentists chair!
